redoak - 6/10/2010 06:32 wondering what we all will think of these wind turbines and solar farms in 20yrs...another "feel good" gov't project I don't have to wait 20 yrs, I already feel that windmills are just a feel good govt project. The problem with wind is that it is unreliable and the days that we need the most power in this country the wind isn't blowing, so right away we have to duplicate the generation in order to have power when there is no wind.
The money would be better spent on more hydro electric, nuclear and cleaner coal plants.
