Subject: Sidedressing Corn

Schlegel Farms, Hagerstown Indiana
My father bought a JD 4020 in the mid 60"s and I started siddressing corn that year (1965-1966?)

I've sidedressed every year since, and always got over all the corn...................this looks like the first year I'm going to get burnt on some of the corn.

I ran Tuesday, with it spitting rain from 3 O'clock on (grrrr), till I got rained out about 8:30 (got 1.6"). Needed about 4 hours to finish sidedressing the middle planting of corn. Got the early planting done, and have time left on the late May planting.

If Mr. Weatherman is right, and we get 1-2" more this weekend I'll have to go to plan B. on some of the corn.

I know I am lucky compared to some....I got every thing planted and it looks pretty good. But this has been one of the most stressful years I remember in a while....maybe I'm just getting older (LoL)
