Subject: Re: Outback S lite GPS

Ripley, Ontario Canada
I bought an S Lite this spring. I did use it to plant with, but used the marker too, had one field where the tail wind made seeing impossible (like driving in a snow storm) so had to plant by GPS one way, worked ok but I could (and did) snap the AB line often going the other way to keep fairly accurate. I have some trouble getting it to pick up the next pass in conture mode with a 40 foot width for spraying, it can't decide if I am still going on the headland, or have turned around and started down the field soon enough for me to get started right. What I do is start on 1 corner of the headland in conture of the straight side of the field and do that headland, the far side and the other headland in a C shape and then double back to get 2 widths of the sprayer for a headland to keep the boom out of the fence. Then when I get back to where I started, I go down the long straight side and start a new ab line, and work off that for the rest of the field.

Over all the S Lite is a basic GPS, that could use a few more features, but can't be beat on price.
