If it gets severely dry then ya maybe have to wait till later in the day. Last year no one was baling straw during the day except those who had a Hesston. We was fine. You might depending on what your using (twine or net) have to back into the wind a certain direction to blow chaff off the knife. I have to on the Hesston. Vermeers are great balers.
