I believe all RR soybeans grown for seed must be sprayed with RoundUp. It is usually in the grower contract, and may be a mandate from Monsanto to insure glyphosate tolerance. RR seed corn can not be sprayed with Roundup because usually only one inbred will carry the RR gene. I have been told that if both inbreds have the RR gene there will be yield drag.
