Northwest IL | Are you a buyer or a seller on Tuesday of grains? Rain is forecasted so that could set a bearish tone. After that some are talking a possible doom over the midwest. With China's buying and possible ethanol passed to 15% the demand picture looks strong. We still need a large crop. Do you think the traders will kill the crop once this summer leading to a rally or are they banking on another record crop and down she blows? Thoughts everyone?
P.S. Just a little rant here: They always tell us farmers we can't trade the "what if's" that's all they do isn't it. Ever since we harvested last years so called huge crop all the talk is of these great hybrids and who cares about weather 165 bushels or even 170+ national yield here we come! They seem to forget trendline is more like 158 and minus last year the trend was only about 2 bushel more a year not the 7-10 they think we have coming. | |
