Grand Rapids, MI | bwire, yes I expect that would "work" Several problems though. I don't care to have 3/4" holes in my floor or walls anywhere without being finished off with a plate. To each their own on this issue, personal preference only as long as you use some firestop to fill the gaps.
Another issue is the cable you linked to is not "in wall" rated. Meaning it would violate code to run it through a hole in the floor or wall, between levels of the house, etc. Again you likely will not see an inspector, but even as an amateur I like to do this stuff right.
The last issue is that is not a very great quality composite cable for a fairly long distance. I would recommend the more premium cable from Monoprice and get in wall rated. | |
