Devils Lake, ND | Where are you located? The HRS up here has a full moisture profile to work with, other than the 15% of the acres still in the bin. After last year's protein fustercluck, nitrogen rates are off the chart this year. Nobody wants to be selling $2.50, 11 pro HRS this winter.
The old timers said you need stress to make protein, but they never applied 300 pounds of urea. It will be interesting to see if they are right...assuming it rains any more this year. | |
