Subject: RE: How about this.??

The short answer is , Yes you can. But .............. not convinced it is the cheapest or the best answer. The first thing that comes to mind is this ............... you are dependant on the computer to watch netflix. Why tie up a computer .......... Dont know what outputs you have on your video card............. but your TV doesnt have a standard computer input so the signal would have to be converted ....... it isnt just a matter of running a cable from one to the other.............. it will require adaptors. Even if you did have an extra VGA port on the computer and your TV had a VGA port........... which it doesnt seem to ......... you would have to run a long video cable ......... if they are say 40 ft apart ........... its gonna take at least a 50 ft cable when you include the verticle part of the run and going around things under the house ... maybe longer. The quality loss of sognal over a long distance is noticable ............. and often requires an amplifier to work very well at all. Never mind the fun of running the cable. All of those things will cost something. A long video cable is not cheap. In your case not only will you have to run cables ........... but you willl need a converter of some sort.

Why not just put something on your TV ......... the TV would work independant of the computer ........... it would be easy to make wireless ............. and total cost will really not be any higher............ in fact, it may be cheaper.

Of course.............. it's all just opinion ..................... but just seems like the best way to go.
