In all seriousness, it is very cheap, very easy to use, readily available and the main reason is the lack of damage to the crop. When spraying gly you dont need to worry about over application of the product like you do with other herbicides. Gly is easy to clean out of a sprayer, compared to some, plus it doesnt volatilize like phenoxys. If I could never spray and ALS inhibitor on corn or soybeans again I would be happy. There is just too much risk of crop damage with this chemistry. In our area, which is not too far from you Pfarms, we do not have the problem of resistant weeds. There are some tough weeds to kill with gly like lambsquarters and wild buckwheat, but it still does the job.
