Subject: RE: The next 150 yrs

Osakis, MN
I find it interesting how some think that no till works everywhere, here in the immediate area that I live there was a lot of tillage that didn't get done last year. The fields that had tillage done worked up beautiful this spring and the fields with standing stalks are now large swamps that I wouldn't dare drive a fourwheeler across for fear of getting severely stuck! The field sitting right across form it with tillage is planted and growing already. Some areas and some soil types just do not work very well with no-till here. I do think it is great that it does work someplaces and if I thought it would work here, I would love to park the tillage equipment. It just seems that here all I would ever worry about is getting into the fields to plant them. (Middle of Minnesota).
