Glyphosate was patented as a metal chelator.  Monsanto patented as a 
herbicide.  Needs ammonium sulfate in the tank to tie up  metals and 
minerals.  Binds minerals -- Ca, Cu, Fe, Mg, Mn, Zn.

The big question is what it does to the rhizosphere and that reaction to disease and mineral uptake.

You can do the digging and make your own opinion.
