Northern NE Panhandle | With all this talk of frost damage on corn i wonder why do people in SD and MINN plant corn before the first of May? I farm in NW Nebraska and usually figure on starting around the 5th of May. It's just about a given that were gonna get a freeze as late as May 15th most years and about half the time we'll freeze around the first of June. Just because the grounds dry enough to plant doesn't mean you should. Not trying to start a fight just want some thoughts. | |
