I wrote all the software. I usually build the tools I need. I just happen to be better with software than a welder.

I am not doing any averaging of the data points. I haven't seen outliers show up in the maps. There may be points that are an inch off, but in the big picture, one inch on one point doesn't matter. I save a point and then discard points until I find one that is more than some specified distance from any others that I have already saved.
