Farmington IL
Plant corn when you can. Plant beans when you should. Its really that simple. This corn was planted on April 13th on a day that was 80 degrees. Wish I could have planted it ALL that day. I will start on beans if it warms up next week and dries out. Alot of disscussion about this but I have seen the results of planting beans when they shouldnt be. Do a little research the info is out there. You can plant beans early but you need some decent soil temps for a period of time. Once they are started they are pretty tough. If I had planted beans the day this corn was planted they would be fine. If I had planted beans ahead of this mornings cold rain I would be a little nervous. Good luck!
