Mike -- you want the special concaves for edible beans. Worth every penny of the cost. Cuts down on cracks, cleaner beans, no vines wrapping up in the rotor cage. These concaves have no wires; they are completely smooth inside, and have slots cut in them. You can get by with a standard rotor in edible beans with these concaves, except in exceptionally tough vines like black-eyed peas. A specialty rotor or AFX rotor with these concaves will thresh any bean crop we've ever seen
