Subject: Re: edible beans and 2388

Never tried a 2388 but in our 2166 there is a screen to put on under the bottom clean grain auger that goes to the elevator, different concaves, sieves stay the same and we adjust them to different bean sizes. Rotor speed is in the slow speed on the 2 speed gearbox, rpm is around 230, fan is in the 5-700 range depending on conditions, We've always had problems with the larger rotors cracking the beans, but some guys get away with it, Also suggest an afx rotor. tares usually in the 3-5 percet range under different conditions. As for header we ran a 22 ft 1010 header with the sund pickup with the plastice slots and two rollers. Unload using as slow as throttle as you can, the unload auger will crack quite a few of them if your unloading at high speeds. Quite a few lil differences on what you can make on the combine, these are just a few suggestions. Recently gone to a Picket combine. Any more questions ask away as we have ran this set up in pinots, navies, kidney's, small reds, lucky strikes and blacks and azukis, they'll all handle a little different. Good Luck
