Running the tractor in "high" range in the field can be hard on the wallet, which may or may not be the case in this instance.
Please explain.
I cannot speak about the Deere IVT, but Agco have a High/Low button. Low give 0-30kph, high gives 0-50kph. The tractor will work in the field in high so some people just leave them in high. I am not that sure of all the inner workings of the transmission, but I THINK that the hydraulic motor has to work at a wider setting then it would like which puts undue stress on it. Swash plate angle, maybe? Anyway, run it in high in the field an expect a big bill.
