Eastern Arkansas | IVT all the way. I will never own another tractor without one. The fuel savings are incredible. I ran an 8530 IVT beside an 8420 PS last fall pulling orthman listers and the 8530 burned somewhere between 1/3 to 1/2 less fuel. Our ground has changing soil types so you cannot cut the throttle with a powershift because it needs all of the power sometimes. The IVT just runs enough power that it needs so 1. it is easier on the tractor and 2. it burns alot less fuel. Also with my genius operators the IVT is alot easier on the machine because it is impossible to stall a tractor out with one. I figure at $2.50 diesel i will pay for it in the first year on fuel savings alone. | |
