The IVT, or any of the CVT's out there are considerably more simple in design than a powershift really. You have a hydrostatic drive and a planetary gearset in the IVT vs. multiple planetaries, brakes, and clutches in a powershift. I wouldnt be worried about an IVT, and like casefarmer said, the designs have been out there for several years now
