Eastern NC | No matter what model of machine you choose I think you would be happier with a self propelled sprayer. We have done a lot of spraying in the past with a tractor and 3 pt boom and it always seems liike you either tie up a tractor with the boom all the time or you spend a tremendous amount of time switching back and forth. If you go out one day and scout a field and it needs to be sprayed it can be a real advantage to have a machine that you can hop into and go to the field and get started right away. I assume you are running a 6000 now but for 1500 acres a year I would rather have that machine than a tractor/3pt combo. The ground clearance is also a nice benefit of that machine if you need it. If only it had a suspension system. | |
