Southwest Iowa | Had to take the fuel sending unit out of our old straight truck today. The sock on the end of the sending unit was falling apart and the pickup line had sludge in it. Cleaned up everything and am considering leaving the sock off and putting an additional little in line filter in the rubber line under the cab. Am I asking for trouble? Local parts store can’t get a new sender or sock. Amazon has some generic ones but maybe it would be easier to deal with a plugged in line filter instead of a sock inside the fuel tank? | |
