IN
I would say either a disease issue late in the season or a micronutrient issue. Could be Moly, Boron, Sulfur, Zn that doesn’t affect the corn as much as the beans. Beans seem to be a little more temperamental when a micro gets out of wack vs corn. What are the tillage practices back 25 years ago? Plowed every year on the one 80 vs every other on the other side? Burned up some organic matter that way? I would say it doesn’t lie directly in one area but multiple. The uptake of nutrients is obviously not the same even though the soil test levels show adequate. Figure out why you’re not up taking those nutrients and you’ll have your answer. I’d be interested in seeing what the CECs are for each side as well
