| We opted for a FD+ and absolutely LOVE it.
We weren't sure about the extra cost at first, but it DOES flex much better than our FD70 did and does pick up less rocks because the smaller ones it pops right over with the flexible cutterbar.
The new design of the cutterbar is REALLY nice because the bolts no longer need to be pressed in, they are oval shaped and just stay on their own AND most sickle sections can be changed WITHOUT removing a guard.
Two HUGE changes we love!
The field after I am through looks like a soldier's head after boot camp. Shaved clean.
It's also ISO compliant so I can change the belt speeds from the cab of the combine.
Also this one controls the feederhouse tilt, part of why I think it cuts better than the FD70.
We also like the deeper belt vs our FD70.
