SW Illinois
we just made the switch from deere to case/macdon. Its very different in function and takes some getting used. No sure how much changed between the fd75 and the fd240 we run but what we found helped was tilting the header back and having the "hieght" of the feeder house relative to the head set high, making the float module take more of the weight of the head.

It still wasn't the best in double crop. sickle had a hard time keeping up and would drag easily at 3.5 MPH. It is a more complicated and harder to set head than a deere hydra flex for sure.
