Subject: RE: Corn Yield

Scottville, 49454 Northwest Michigan

Our farm isn't even remotely in the "corn belt".   But-having-said-that..... this is one of our worst years for corn yield.  Had a couple fields under a 100 bushel.   (Driest July and August in the 50 crop years I've farmed.)   Granted, typically our worst fields, but they are usually at minimum in the 150's.   Even our irrigated fields are down a bit.  Dry corners are the issue.

And the low corn yield must not be isolated to just our farm.   Had a merchandiser text me yesterday, wondering if we had any corn we needed to move.  I've never had a merchandiser reach out in November, looking for corn.   Never.
