| It can be nearly impossible to out climb a storm situation that’s escalating that quickly. Terrible conditions to be in the air. It’s a miracle we don’t have more accidents like this than we do. They were on a filed flight plan. They have to do what they are told by ATC. Zero freedom to deviate without permission. If their radar inflow or their info from ATC was lacking, they were in no position to negotiate with ATC until it was too late. Anyone who’s blaming the pilots is lacking in experience and perspective. | |
