I used the 2" banjo one and wasn't impressed. I bought a newer sprayer that had a 3" Raven flow meter on the fill port. It works great.
As for thread sealant. I pretty much only use tape on most polypropylene fittings. As far as 3", I refuse to buy pipe thread in anything bigger than 1.5." Use flange fittings.
