East Central Arkansas
It boggles my mind what was done in this country 50-200 years ago. The dams built with horses or rudimentary machines. Huge bridges and skyscrapers with rivets. Steam engine usage. People can get pretty ingenious with limited resources.
And how long it takes these days to get some jobs done with all the modern equipment they have.
About a 20 mile stretch of Hwy one here from White River to DeWitt they have been working on since I guess late last Winter. T besides repaving they had to replace approach gaurd rails on 4 bridges. Don't just do one at a time but all four had work going on so had stop lights all summer whether they were working or not.
