My holsteins weigh around 1100 -1200lbs, they are on a tmr ration of 1/3 ground corn, 1/3 earlage, 1/3 wet gluten. Also around 1/2 a pound of straw per head. Wet gluten prices is now $95 a ton delivered. Wet distillers would be around 80 a ton delivered. Have never messed with urea before. I think urea at the feed mill is around $50 for 100lbs. What are some does and donts with urea and is it easy to switch the ration over to urea? I plan on feeding the holsteins till 1650

I am far from an expert, but nothing good has ever happened “here” from trying to feed urea on and off over the past 30+ years.
