This was fun. Had 4 hybrids from blue River seed.

Long term goal is biological organic crop system that utilizes cows, green manure, rotation to build fertility and grow crops with very little need for purchased inputs

No pop up, starter, side dress, top dress..kind of a big change from doing elaborate input management.

Plowed a field, put untreated seed in the ground and cultivated a few times.

D3 drought had some serious damage in spots.

Had no clue what to do for population so just kind of guessed. Could have went higher looking at the ears. Pretty impressed and happy. Neat to see how high it was able to go in spots at the lower population.

Lambs quarter follows the manure spreader and the cow.

The really good spot actually let me down. It was the only spot with enough moisture to germinate weeds.

Impressed with what the soil could do.
Kernel quality was magnificent.

Rest of field was pretty clean.

By far the most profitable field I have ever done.

5.9 Cummins powered Louisville Ford grain truck did not disappoint!
