N FLA | One year I had a really bad harvest of our corn crop. I had to run about 100k bushels through a grain cleaner. I probably ended up with 80 tons of trash. I ended up selling the screenings for about $7 per bushel. I realized at that point I needed a lot more trash, because corn was probably only $4 then.
I bought a feed grinder and just started making my own trash to sell. I can sell about 500 bushels of ground corn in a good week. I sell it for more now than when it was just corn screenings. | |
