Do you spray on a pre emerge herbicide? Like the coop puts it on? Or you do it yourself? If your going to skip the Ammonia, Id put on 20 gallon of 32% with the spray, Incorporate it. And skip the planter fertilizer, fertilizer on the planter is fine, it just takes a lot of fill time.

And sidedress the balance.
