Southern Missouri | I can agree with most of that except the part about drones not getting any closer to virtually any thing an airplane will be cautious around, the house right across the road from my shop was sprayed around many many times over the years with a plane , that house also has high line wires all around it , 300 ft was about average how close planes got to that house and yard , drone spray distance from anything of the sort is easily adjusted from the controller in literally seconds , put the drone 5 feet above the crop with very course droplets and you can easily get within 10 foot of the grasss in the yard and never see a speck , high line poles a drone can get the bottom of each pole wet with spray but not the middle of same pole , plane just not gonna do that or even close and that’s easily done with drone , these are the kind of things that are pretty important to farmers like me that have no trouble knowing the exact job I get done with an aerial application, again the very consistent overlap streaks a drone leaves means zero to me as a farmer .
