S-C Manitoba, Canada | Around here the people that have bought hybrids haven't been super happy. Here in the praries you turn on the hiway, drive an hour in a straight line, then arrive at your destination. This means they dont get any regenerative breaking and end up with slightly worse gas milage then a gas only car. They are impressed with the mpg in the city but that is such a small percentage of our driving.
My B.i.l in the city has a phev and that seems like an ideal 75% city car. It does 60kms on ev which is enough for probably 345 days of the year for him, but he isn't stranded those other days. I think he uses less then 10 gallons of gas a month | |
