I don't understand how anyone here can possibly think that it is easier, right now, this fall, without knowing anything about the building or how long the O/P is going to use the building for equipment storage, to "make the door bigger" than to just pull the duals off.

Without knowing the building, no one here has any idea what is involved with making the door bigger (and building new doors).

.

Don’t care. If I’m in his shoes and the building type or timeline don’t allow door modification, then the combine is getting stored somewhere else. Open ended hoop buildings are cheap, or I’ll just throw a tarp over it, before taking the duals off for storage. I had a finger crushed by a forklift once while putting on combine duals, and we deal with enough broken wheel bolts without all that extra wrenching. And yes, we do use a torque wrench.

Ya seems simple, open the opening up. I'd rather go with out a door and not take duals off.
