We like fall applied potash on cornstalks ahead of soybeans. Used to spread early spring potash ahead of soybeans with the goal of applying closer to when the crop needs thus preventing tie up. We thought we had chloride toxicity issues in the early Notill cold soil beans. One of the last years we did spring we missed a couple fields and those 2 yielded the best. Very non scientific unofficial test.

I’d like to trial some in season potash spread with a high clearance row crop spreader on soybeans but the local coops here don’t have one and we have narrow rowed beans. Would probably add some ams too. I think bigger beans would tolerate the chlorine better than at VE.
