If the new injectors are clocked wrong they will produce huge volumes of bizarre smoke and half the power.
They may fit perfectly but the spray pattern is incorrect for your particular engine.
IH 3088 (D358) injectors insalled in a IH 826 (D358) will do that unless you install 3088 clamps that turn the injector 90 degrees..
Be very sure you have the correct injectors.
