North Central OH | Yes you can with a 2500 and no-till shanks, they even used to offer a tucker wheel kit for lower disturbance. Depending on you soil conditions and rocks it may result in a bit of an uneven surface but is plantable. We ran our 2500 the day of planting beans this spring and the field combined ok, could get the planter in the ground otherwise just ripped at an angle, beans were decent for that piece. We do plan to run cultivator over that field before corn to smooth it off, have ripped the day before planting corn on the same farm before two. Planted fine but mother nature didn't cooperate. Neighbor rips all his wheat and barley ground after its planted and is continuous notill on top of it, sure those fields are getting a little rough. | |
