Subject: RE: Test weight question

Douglass Kansas

The ethanol plant at colwich is 10c per bu ea 1lb below 54lb, below 50lb is subject to rejection.  They took a few loads that test 49.  Never going to plant that variety again, almost everything else test weight was around 58.

So how many more pounds per acre would the 49 have to make verse the 58 to get the same dollars per acre?

Grain bin space is limited for every bushel that I store I make $0.20.

Price of corn is $5.00

It cost me $100/1250 cu foot to haul corn to the bin. Truck hauling out can carry full legal load of both corn test weights.
