Boone Co. Iowa | Biggest issue in corn and beans is that we have growers and end-users.
And crop insurance has pretty good incentive to see low prices in October price discovery month. Crop insurance doesn’t care about price at all, other than February and October.
Growers and end-users care about market prices every single day, generally.
Let’s see what happens to corn and beans starting Monday….
I get that we typically have a harvest low when harvest is 50-75% complete. And that is typically this month, and that insurance price discovery in Feb. and October. makes sense.
Subsidized crop insurance is a helluva game to play. And I play it!
