Why? If u have no one to take over the farm and its gonna be sold as soon as you're cold in the ground. Whats the issue?
Is farming your passion or just a job? I can remember saying on the playground as a 3rd grader that I want to farm. I’ve spent the last 30 years farming and working in town. It’s my passion I intend to farm till I can’t pull myself into a tractor. If the kids sell it when I’m dead it’s on them. I’m a few years younger than you and hope to add to my land base yet. I think about what the increase in value of the first land I bought 28 years ago compared to today hopefully I have 28 more to see the value increase that much more. |
