That is a personal decision. I'm at your age and plan on buying the home farm yet but we have a daughter that is working into our operations. Why we dont own it yet is a whole nother story.... however I feel im a young 59 and as I told my daughter as she was running the combine last night the secret to sucess when you start with nothing is always act like you're poor so you stay hungry and relavant.

Now - the reason you are contemplating getting out from under this burden is you want to travel and "live"? That mindset I will never understand. People talk about having a bucket list especially after that good movie years ago. We have things we want to do yet here, however our bucket isnt that deep because we keep emptying it LIVING every day and year. We have had a ski trip in March planned since August with a bunch of fam and friends plus other stuff when things slow down. Tomorrow we are taking our 81 year old uncle zip lining because he wants to try it before he gets old. He said do we have time to shut the combine down? I said you're 81, of course we do! This has been our mindset. I'm typing this as im going out the door to get started on work so we have time tomorrow.

YOU - look in the mirror now. If you sell this horrible burden of owning a home and land so you can "live" are you really going to change your mindset on how you do things? I hope you can however you would be a rare bird. Now look in that mirror again and ask yourself that question honestly if you are up to this massive change. Why haven't you been living the past 40 years?
