Perhaps you’re missing the point of the question
There are additional costs associated with any product than just that input’s purchase price.
For example, fungicide on beans can pay back but if it slows your harvest due to green stems, what is the true cost of that product? What if the slower bean harvest means you end up working in the mud ?
