I still use my Farmworks software for my crop planning, and mapping my prevented plant acres for certification with FSA. I have I believe the last version before they sold out, and it was discontinued. My laptop it is slowly dieing. I have a new computer, is there anyway to move it to the new machine? I am not a fan of the software keys that lock software to a computer, IMO the old hardware keys that used the parallel port, or usb port were better, because you could move paid for software to a new computer easily. Now, most software is moving to subscription, which I dislike as well. When I purchase something, I want to purchase it, not lease it. Any hacks to make my Farmworks software run on new computer?

Thanks,

Jon

Clone the drive on the old computer with Rescuezilla and then use Rescuezilla to write the whole installation to the new computer. The new computer will be set up exactly like the old one. PM or email me or watch a video on how to do it if you go this route. Or you could just pull the hard drive or SSD out of the old computer, put it in the new one, and bingo it is all set up like before.
