Driftless SW Wisconsin | Disagree. My vet says he sees a lot of pink eye in Angus herds. My Herefords haven't had a case this year and probably several years.
As this thread points out, there are three factors in pink eye.
"1. You have to have sunlight
2. You have to have eye irritation.
3. You have to have the pink eye strain present.
Eliminate one of the 3 and you won't have pink eye."
Being Hereford is not one of them.
