You'll want net wrap... I hate net wrap but it is extremely faster baling than twine and it holds stalk bales together better

I usually bale 3 to 5k a year. Lot of experience baling stalks... my least favorite job. Could be just the time of year i guess but it really isn't fun

Sometimes chopped stalks feed through a bale processor poorly. Something to try before you do a whole bunch. We just rake and bale

I hate my fair processor. Will go to a vermeer soon.

Edit: think elmers makes a pretty heavy processor

Another thing. If you do run the loftness make sure to take the time to set it perfectly. It can make a lot of blown out bales if it's too high in the middle.... had a neighbor get a wild hair to go chop a qrt before I got there with the balers............

What kind of rake? Not chopping JD corn hear here and we are doing all earlage so stalks are green.

Any pointers on setting the Loftness? Smooth, flat windrow?
