I never bought them to reduce feed. But we noticed it one winter. Put out a new tub and hay dropped a little. Ok, don't know why but interesting. Noticed it many times since then.
I wouldn't tell someone buy this tub and reduce feed. But I can tell people we use this tub and somehow it reduces MY feed.
At price of hay tub pays for itself couple times over.
