Earlville, NY | I got a (used) payloader for loading TMR wagon. It has a clamshell bucket. Previous user had no use for clamshell function so just welded it shut which is fine. But the bucket doesn't rotate far enough to hold a full scoop of silage. It has different stops that could be cut back. I was thinking instead of removing weld and opening bucket up about a foot, then welding a steel plate into opening between the two halves. Seems like the front cutting edge would then be a little higher when rotated back, and increase capacity. I hope this describes my idea well enough; wondered if it sounds feasible or if there's a better idea out there otherwise than buying a used bucket and fabricating it to hook on to loader.
