| In the market for another tractor, here is what I’m looking at:
- 2012+
- Deere 8R series
- front duals with ILS
- under $200,000
- 310-370 hp
- most are in the 4500+ hr range at that $, want to stay under 6000
Transmission is my biggest hang up, everything I look at is an IVT… I want an IVT but longevity is more important. Is a 5000 hr + IVT going to give me issues?
This machine will be used to plant its first year probably, and then will be used primarily for heavy draft work and spreading fertilizer.
Currently have a 8235R with a power shift, and a 7215R with a PowerQuad… the 7215R will be used only to plant beans, 8235R on a 1770NT, and the new 8R on tillage work.
Powershift is probably my choice, just harder to find it seems. | |
